Pastoral Theological Seminary’s Terms of Use
Pastoral Theological Seminary is an accredited Theological & Academic Institution of Higher Learning with Campuses across the world preparing ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to fulfill the call of God on their lives. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, apps, and other products and services (“Services”). Please read these Terms carefully, and contact us if you have any questions. Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service. By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms including the policies referenced in these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you are advised not to use the Service.
Who May Use our Services
You may use our Services only if you can form a binding contract with Pastoral Theological Seminary , and only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. When you create your Pastoral Theological Seminary account, and subsequently when you use certain features, you must provide us with accurate and complete information, and you agree to update your information to keep it accurate and complete.
Our License to You
Subject to these Terms and our policies (including the Acceptable User Policy and other terms), we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use our Services. You may download content from our Services only for your personal, non-commercial use, unless you obtain our written permission to otherwise use the content. You also agree that you will create, access, and/or use only one user account, unless expressly permitted by Pastoral Theological Seminary, and you will not share access to your account or access information for your account with any third party. Using our Services does not give you ownership of or any intellectual property rights in our Services or the content you access.
Accounts
You need an account for most activities on our platform. Keep your password somewhere safe, because you’re responsible for all activity associated with your account. If you suspect someone else is using your account, let us know by contacting our Support Team. You must have reached the age of consent for online services in your country to use Pastoral Theological Seminary.
You need an account for most activities on our platform, including to purchase and access content or to submit content for publication. When setting up and maintaining your account, you must provide and continue to provide accurate and complete information, including a valid email address. You have complete responsibility for your account and everything that happens on your account, including for any harm or damage (to us or anyone else) caused by someone using your account without your permission. This means you need to be careful with your password. You may not transfer your account to someone else or use someone else’s account. If you contact us to request access to an account, we will not grant you such access unless you can provide us with the information that we need to prove you are the owner of that account. In the event of the death of a user, the account of that user will be closed.
You may not share your account login credentials with anyone else. You are responsible for what happens with your account and Pastoral Theological Seminary will not intervene in disputes between students or instructors who have shared account login credentials. You must notify us immediately upon learning that someone else may be using your account without your permission (or if you suspect any other breach of security) by contacting our Support Team. We may request some information from you to confirm that you are indeed the owner of your account. You can terminate your account at any time by following the steps we outlined. User Content
The Services enable you to share your content, such as homework, quizzes, exams, projects, other assignments you submit, posts you make in the forums, and the like (“User Content”), with Pastoral Theological Seminary, instructors, and/or other users. You retain all intellectual property rights in, and are responsible for, the User Content you create and share. User Content does not include course content or other materials made available on or placed on to the Pastoral Theological Seminary platform by or on behalf of Content Providers or their instructors using the Services or Content Offerings. As between Pastoral Theological Seminary and Content Providers, such Content Offerings are governed by the relevant agreements in place between us and Content Providers.
Termination of Your Account
We may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.
Subscriptions Management
You may cancel your subscription by following the steps outlined on our Support Page. If you cancel your subscription to a Subscription Plan, your access to that Subscription Plan will automatically end on the last day of your billing period. On cancellation, you will not be entitled to receive a refund or credit of any fees already paid for your subscription, unless otherwise required by applicable law. For clarity, cancellation of a subscription does not terminate your Pastoral Theological Seminary user account.
Content and Conduct Rules
You can only use our Service for lawful purposes. You’re responsible for all the content that you post on our platform. You should keep the reviews, questions, posts, courses and other content you upload in line with our Safety Guidelines and the law, and respect the intellectual property rights of others. We can ban your account for repeated or major offenses. If you think someone is infringing your copyright on our platform, let us know. You may not access or use the Services or create an account for unlawful purposes. Your use of the Services and behavior on our platform must comply with applicable local or national laws or regulations of your country. You are solely responsible for the knowledge of and compliance with such laws and regulations that are applicable to you.
Our Rights to Content and Post
As a user of our Service, you retain ownership of content you post to our platform, including your courses. We’re allowed to share your content to anyone through any media, including promoting it via advertising on other websites. The content you post as a student or instructor (including courses) remains yours. By posting courses and other content, you allow Pastoral Theological Seminary to reuse and share it but you do not lose any ownership rights you may have over your content. When you post content, comments, questions, reviews, and when you submit to us ideas and suggestions for new features or improvements, you authorize Pastoral Theological Seminary to use and share this content with anyone, distribute it and promote it on any platform and in any media, and to make modifications or edits to it as we see fit.
Prohibitions on our Service
You are prohibited from using our Services to share content that:
- Contains illegal content or promotes illegal activities with the intent to commit such activities. Please keep in mind that users who are as young as 18 use our Services, and we do not allow content that is inappropriate for these younger users.
- Contains credible threats or organizes acts of real-world violence. We don’t allow content that creates a genuine risk of physical injury or property damage, credibly threatens people or public safety, or organizes or encourages harm.
- Harrasses others. We encourage commentary about people and matters of public interest, but abusive or otherwise inappropriate content directed at private individuals is not allowed.
- Violates intellectual property, privacy, or other rights. Do not share content that you do not have the right to share, claim content that you did not create as your own, or otherwise infringe or misappropriate someone else’s intellectual property or other rights. Always attribute materials used or quoted by you to the original copyright owner.
- Spams others. Do not share irrelevant or inappropriate advertising, promotional, or solicitation content.
- Otherwise violates Pastoral Theological Seminary Terms of Use.
You are not also allowed to:
- Share your password, let anyone besides yourself access your account, or do anything that might put your account at risk.
- Attempt to access any other user’s account.
- Reproduce, transfer, sell, resell, or otherwise misuse any content from our Services, unless specifically authorized to do so.
- Access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of our systems, unless specifically authorized to do so.
- Break or circumvent our authentication or security measures or otherwise test the vulnerability of our systems or networks, unless specifically authorized to do so.
- Try to reverse engineer any portion of our Services.
- Use our Services to distribute malware.
- Use our Services or any functionality of our platform for anything other than for completing online courses or for pedagogical purposes.
- Impersonate or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Encourage or help anyone do any of the things on this list.
Security
We care about the security of our users. While we work to protect the security of your account and related information, Pastoral Theological Seminary cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security measures. Please notify us immediately of any compromise or unauthorized use of your account by emailing support@ptsedugh.com.
Third Party Content
Through the Services, you will have the ability to access and/or use content provided by instructors, other users, and/or other third parties and links to websites and services maintained by third parties. Pastoral Theological Seminary cannot guarantee that such third party content, in the Services or elsewhere, will be free of material you may find objectionable or otherwise inappropriate or of malware or other contaminants that may harm your computer, mobile device, or any files therein. Pastoral Theological Seminary disclaims any responsibility or liability related to your access or use of, or inability to access or use, such third party content.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the Service.
PTS’s Rights
We own the Pastoral Theological Seminary platform and Services, including the website, present or future apps and services, and things like our logos, API, code, and content created by our employees. You can’t tamper with those or use them without authorization.
All right, title, and interest in and to our platform and Services, including our website, our existing or future applications, and the content our employees or partners submit or provide through our Services (but excluding content provided by instructors and students) are and will remain the exclusive property of Pastoral Theological Seminary and its licensors. Our platforms and services are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of the Republic of Ghana. Nothing gives you a right to use the our name or any of the Pastoral Theological Seminary’s trademarks, logos, domain names, and other distinctive brand features. Any feedback, comments, or suggestions you may provide regarding Pastoral Theological Seminary or the Services is entirely voluntary and we will be free to use such feedback, comments, or suggestions as we see fit and without any obligation to you.
You may not do any of the following while accessing or using the Pastoral Theological Seminary platform and Services:
- Copy, modify, create a derivative work of, reverse engineer, reverse assemble, or otherwise attempt to discover any source code of or content on Pastoral Theological Seminary platform or Services.
- Disable, interfere with, or try to circumvent any of the features of the platforms related to security or probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any of our systems.
- In any way use the Services to send altered, deceptive, or false source-identifying information (such as sending email communications falsely appearing as Pastoral Theological Seminary); or interfere with, or disrupt, (or attempt to do so), the access of any user, host, or network, including, without limitation, sending a virus, overloading, flooding, or spamming the platforms or services, or in any other manner interfering with or creating an undue burden on the Services.
Dispute Resolution
In case there’s a dispute in the use of our Service, our Support Team is happy to help resolve the issue. If that doesn’t work, your options are to bring a claim in binding arbitration; you may not bring that claim in, or participate in a non-individual class action claim against us.
Modifying or Terminating our Services
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We are constantly changing and improving our Services. We may add or remove functions, features, or requirements, and we may suspend or stop part of our Services altogether. Accordingly, Pastoral Theological Seminary may terminate your use of any Service for any reason. If your use of a paid Service is terminated, a refund may be available under our Refund Policy. We may not be able to deliver the Services to certain regions or countries for various reasons, including due to applicable export control requirements or internet access limitations and restrictions from governments. None of Pastoral Theological Seminary, its Content Providers and instructors, its contributors, sponsors, and other business partners, and their employees, contractors, and other agents (the “PTS Parties”) shall have any liability to you for any such action. You can stop using our Services at any time, although we will regret to see you go away.
Revision to the Terms
We reserve the right to revise the Terms at our sole discretion at any time. Any revisions to the Terms will be effective immediately upon posting by us. For any material changes to the Terms, we will take reasonable steps to notify you of such changes, via a banner on the website, email notification, another method, or combination of methods. In all cases, your continued use of the Services after publication of such changes, with or without notification, constitutes binding acceptance of the revised Terms.
Feedback
We welcome your suggestions, ideas, comments, and other feedback regarding the Services (“Feedback”). By submitting any Feedback, you grant us the right to use the Feedback without any restriction or any compensation to you. By accepting your Feedback, Pastoral Theological Seminary does not waive any rights to use similar or related Feedback previously known to us, developed by our employees, contractors, or obtained from other sources.
